Make $250 in 90 Seconds

Fast Pitch Shoot Out is a twist on the classic elevator pitch all entrepreneurs are taught to master: engage and captivate a potential investor in 60 seconds or less. HatchPad believes that every young entrepreneur should be equipped with this skill and Fast Pitch Shoot Out is a way to practice, receive feedback and win some cash.

Fast Pitch Shoot Outs take place at HatchPad Engage! Networking Events. Our first two are scheduled for:

  • November 14th: HatchPad Engage! Kansas City @Think Big Coworking, 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. CST
  • November 16th: HatchPad Engage! Boca Raton @FAU Adams Center for Entrepreneurship, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. EST

Fast Pitch Shoot Out sessions are 90 seconds in length and are conducted in front of the audience. Each pitch will be viewed and voted on by the audience and the 1st and 2nd place winners will receive a plaque and $250 and $100 respectively. After the event, our editorial team will write a blog about your startup, post on HatchPad and market to our over 10,000 followers and audience members.

How to enter:

STEP ONE: Create a venture page on HatchPad. Your submission must be a business you are actively working on, whether as a school project or an actual “in market” startup. Please do not submit ideas that have not been fully fleshed out as we will not consider them. Your venture page must be completed in full, have no spelling or grammatical mistakes, and should include a short video about your business.

STEP TWO: Email us at info@hatchpad.co when your page is live, include your name and link to your venture page, and express your interest in participation. Please indicate which event you are applying for. (November 14th @Think Big Coworking in Kansas City or November 16th @FAU in Boca Raton)

STEP THREE: Register to attend your preferred HatchPad Engage! event. You must be registered in order to be considered.

STEP FOUR: Once you are registered for the event and we have reviewed your venture page, we will let you know if you made it into the finalist round and send you additional instructions. We can accommodate up to 10 pitches per event.

STEP FIVE: All submissions are due no later than November 4th.

STEP SIX: Finalists for Fast Pitch will be announced on November 8th.
