What problem does your solution solve?
One of the primary issues with Uber is that it sets fares for consumers and creates a process in which, like taxi-drivers, Uber drivers must wait in line for available customers. This essentially wastes the time of drivers, and the set fares harms both drivers and customers who have little freedom to negotiate. Thus, via GoGo, you submit a request to take you to Location A, which is sent to all nearby drivers in a given radius (5 mile or 10 mile) that you determine. You also submit a fare that you would want to pay. For example, you may request a ride to the airport for $25. Then, all active drivers would receive the request, and it is up to them to accept, decline or negotiate the offer. The first driver to accept the price gets the customer. If a driver chooses to negotiate, they must input a new price within 20s. Then, the rider has the option to compare offers and the distances among drivers. This process ensures that customers and drivers achieve the best deals any time.
Who are your customers?
This concept utilizes Priceline's method of fare negotiation, meaning that the business applies to a vary expansive market. Although we may appeal more to college students, GoGo can be used anywhere to obtain rides within a city. It is a ride-sharing service that is more affordable than Uber, Lyft or taxis. Our service is given directly to the customers, who may need rides between locations.
How will you reach your customers?
Marketing will be our greatest challenge, as both drivers and customers are needed to function. The app depends on the process of negotiation and free competition via supply and demand characteristics. To reach the customer segment, we plan to offer "free" rides to first-time users, in which they will submit a request for a ride and will pay the driver. However, the company will reimburse the customer the paid amount in GoGo credits. Thus, during the next ride, the customer can use the X$ of credits to pay for the ride. This is one method to achieve more customers, and we can appeal to drivers, as we do not set any time-shifts.
How will you make money?
After initial investments, this concept will be profitable in the long run. The company profits from the services of GoGo Drivers who use their own vehicles, in a manner similar to Uber. In comparison to our competitors, we will only take 10% of any given transaction. As we gain more users, the company will profit more.
