What problem does your solution solve?
STEM education is not accessible, and as a result the next generation isn't prepared to tackle the problems of tomorrow. Many schools don't offer CS programs, and outside programs are extremely costly and largely ineffective. Our program is at least half the cost of the top programs out there, and we cover a variety of topics- to ensure an accurate portrayal of the STEM world is given.
Who are your customers?
Our consumer base is mainly middle school students, with an interest in STEM. We don't require any prior knowledge or experience- just a desire and a passion to learn!
How will you reach your customers?
Our main marketing strategy is reaching out to parents and middle school faculty. By targetting those with the closest connection to our consumer base, it allows to net more customers!
How will you make money?
Our program has a cost per student, which varies based on financial needs, but it is this cost that funds our company. Parts, shirts, advertising, SEO are all paid for through our program
What kind of partners will you need to make, support and distribute your solution?
Our most valuable partnerships are those with middle schools. Being in contact with educators, and those connected with our consumer base is invaluable! We also look for companies with similar goals and interests - making the STEM world more accessible.
What will your expenses include?
Most of our expenses are for the duration of the program. Parts- circuits, laptops, sensors- are a big cost as we try to make sure each student has an individualized experience and allow them to take home as much as possible. On top of that, money goes into advertising (Facebook + Google), t-shirts for our students, supporters and staff and things like insurance and rent.
Who is your competition and how do you differ?
Our competition is other STEM education companies. These are all pricey, taught by adults and very tunneled curriculum wise. Our program is taught by experienced high school students, people who remember what it was like being introduced into the world of STEM. Our program covers a wide variety of topics- both programming and engineering centered- and has a lot of personal freedom, allowing students to create their own projects using the skills they've been taught. Project based learning is our best tactic, and one that produces amazing results.
