I introduce Zeal: A global community service social network that will have several utilities that reduce the difficulties in the community service area. Any person can use Zeal to find a project according his/her passions and interests, easily contact the project manager and showcase (and share) his achievements (amount of hours) in his profile. Organizers can use the app to find volunteers, solicit donations, contact students/adults interested in the project and posting important information regarding the project.
Zeal will operate as a non-profit organization.
I will work with Rustic Pathways, Lincoln School’s service department and other school’s community service departments. By aligning with Rustic Pathways, an organization that has community service projects all over the world, the app is most likely to be funded, maintained and promoted in the long-term. We plan to start off at Lincoln School, spread it to the rest of Costa Rica and finally increase the app coverage globally.
